Smith Cleaning began in St Ives in 2003, when Luke Smith started window cleaning after leaving school.
After three years living in Yorkshire, Luke returned to St Ives with his wife Neacy in 2011. Together they developed the business, building long-standing relationships with homeowners, holiday letting companies and local businesses.
In November 2016, another important chapter began when Luke took on the St Ives town window-cleaning round of long-standing local window cleaner Alf Johns, after Parkinson’s disease prevented Alf from continuing.
Today, Smith Cleaning remains a family-run business with deep roots in St Ives, combining long-standing local relationships with modern equipment, professional standards and specialist exterior cleaning.
Luke Smith
Founder & Director
Luke started window cleaning in St Ives in 2003 after leaving school.
After returning to Cornwall in 2011, Luke developed Smith Cleaning’s residential, holiday-let and commercial work across St Ives and the surrounding area.
In 2016, Luke took on the St Ives town window-cleaning round of long-standing local window cleaner Alf Johns, continuing relationships and work that had been built up over many years.
Today Luke leads Smith Cleaning, working with clients, assessing properties and developing the specialist equipment, methods and standards used across the business.
Neacy Smith
Director
Neacy and Luke returned to St Ives together in 2011 and built Smith Cleaning into the family business it is today.
Neacy has played an important role in the development and running of the company, supporting the relationships, organisation and administration behind the service our clients receive.
As a Director of Smith Cleaning Limited, Neacy remains an important part of the business and the standards we work to.
Theo
Senior Cleaning Operator
Theo is a key member of our field team and carries out residential, holiday-let and commercial exterior cleaning across St Ives and West Cornwall.
Working with our specialist pure-water systems and professional cleaning equipment, Theo is trusted to maintain the high standards our clients expect when we visit their properties.
